Clinical Administration- Totally responsible for the management of a Monmouth Medical Center Children’s Crisis Intervention Service staff and operations; establishing patient service for adolescents, including day and overnight hospitalization; and supervision of multidisciplinary staff in various settings.1992-2012

Site Director for Psychiatry to provide supervision and training of: Medical Students on Rotation and Pediatric Residents at Monmouth Medical Center for Drexel University School of Medicine and Physicians Assistants Program from UMDNJ and Seton Hall.

Megan Maroney, Pharm.D.- Psychopharmacologist
Maroney is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Ernest Mario School of
Pharmacy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree
from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, The State University of
New Jersey in 2009. After graduation, she completed an ASHP accredited
general practice residency with a focus in psychiatry at Saint Barnabas
Behavioral Health Center in Toms River, New Jersey. She earned her Board
Certification in Psychiatric Pharmacy from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in
2013 and approval from the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy for collaborative
practice in psychiatry in 2016. She was one of the first pharmacists in
New Jersey to be granted approval for collaborative practice.
Dr. Maroney also
practices as a clinical pharmacy specialist in the area of psychiatry at
Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ.
She works with adult and child/adolescent inpatient and outpatient
psychiatry teams. Dr. Maroney is an
active member of the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists.
Rachel Karbowski- Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Rachel been apart of the Freehold Child Diagnostic Center family since 2007. She provides psychiatric and mental health care to children, adults, and families including psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and assessment as well as genetic testing, medication education, prescribing, management, and monitoring. She has known and worked along side Dr. Zaidi at Monmouth Medical Center CCIS Unit from 2004- 2011 as well.
In 2006, Rachel received her psychiatric and mental health nurse credentialing. She holds a Master of Science in Psychiatric/Mental Health and Advanced Practice Nursing from Rutgers University. She received her family psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner credentialing in April 2008 and gained prescriptive authority in May 2008.
Valerie Magrino, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Valerie Magrino, PMHNP-BC is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who provides psychiatric evaluations and diagnosis, medication management including prescribing, monitoring and educating, and therapeutic counseling, to children, adolescents, and adults.
Her education includes a Masters of Science in Nursing from Monmouth University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New Jersey City University, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications from New York University.
She has worked in CCIS (children's inpatient psychiatric unit) at Monmouth Medical Center for the last 5 years, where she worked with Dr. Zaidi. She has expertise in working with children and adolescents with mood and thought disorders as well as developmental disabilities, learning disorders, anxiety, depression and behavioral problems. She has experience working with women suffering from Perinatal Depression, and experience with adults in an intensive outpatient substance abuse setting.
Julie Tropeano, Nurse Practitioner
Julie is a board certified advanced practice nurse practitioner who provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management to children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 21. Her education includes a Masters of Science Degree in Nursing from Rutgers University. She has worked along side Dr. Zaidi in the children's inpatient psychiatric unit, as well as the psychiatric emergency room at Monmouth Medical Center. Her background includes psychiatry, neurodevelopmental, and behavioral pediatrics. She has an expertise in working with autistic children as well as those with developmental disabilities, learning disorders, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Julie has extensive background in collaborating with school districts for school based interventions for children and adolescents.
Julie has participated in safety studies for antidepressants in pediatrics through Duke University. She belongs to Sigma Theta Tau-International Nursing Honor Society and was recently nominated by several of her families for the distinguished award of "Top Kid's Doc" from New Jersey Family Magazine. This year was her 3rd year in a row!!!! Many congratulations to Julie for this accomplishment!
Kristina Pilgrim, LCSW
Making the decision to enter therapy or seek therapeutic intervention for your child or family is an extremely important and brave decision. This process can be difficult, confusing and sometimes scary, but it is the start of an empowering and life-changing journey.
Kristina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience working with adolescents, adults and families in many different capacities. Kristina strives to provide a comfortable and professional atmosphere and is dedicated to helping you achieve a better quality of life. Skilled in assessment and diagnosis, Kristina also provides compassionate, client based therapy, utilizing a variety of theoretical approaches. Given the opportunity to provide individual, family, and group therapy in many different therapeutic settings, including inpatient, in-home and outpatient settings. Kristina has experience as a clinical coordinator of a partial care/Intensive outpatient program and can provide clinical supervision. Kristina has thoroughly enjoyed and learned from all of her varied experiences.
Education includes a BA in Psychology from Seton Hall University and a Masters in Social Work from Monmouth University, specializing in work with individuals and families. Kristina is also a N.J. certified clinical supervisor as well as a Certified Group Psychotherapist.
Dana Cux, MSW, LSW- Director
Dana started working for Freehold Child Diagnostic Center, Inc. in September 2001 in an administrative role. She goes above and beyond for any patient and is able to help with any matter regardless of the complexity. She has many years of helping patients through their most difficult times.
Dana graduated Summa Cum Laude from Monmouth University with her Bachelor's in Social Work in 2016 and their Master's Program in 2017. She is now taking on a dual role within the practice as the director in charge of running the entire practice as well as working with individual patients as a License Social Worker providing therapy and supportive services! She is now able to use all the knowledge and experience gained from working side by side with Dr. Zaidi for so many years in addition to her extensive education to further benefit patients in a therapeutic manner!
Dana is eclectic in her therapeutic approach, encompassing many different styles of therapy to best meet her clients needs, with a strong focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in combination with a strengths based perspective. She enjoys working with adolescent and young adult populations experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, bullying, and various other challenges. She aspires to empower her clients to create positive goals and reach their highest potential in a compassionate, empathetic manner. Dana's commitment to this practice and its patients goes unmatched; she is certainly an asset to FCDC.
Brad Morder, LPC
Brad is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state
of NJ. He graduated with a BA in
Psychology from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and moved to New Jersey where
he obtained his MS in Professional Counseling from Monmouth University. Brad has extensive experience working in the
mental health field as well as working with diverse populations. He has worked with children diagnosed with
Autism and other disabilities, families involved with Child Protective Services,
and adults enrolled in partial care hospitalization programs. Brad also has his Clinical Supervision
certification and provides counseling supervision for LAC clinicians. He uses an integrative approach to therapy
with a focus on Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Brad focuses on building a strong rapport
with both the patient and his/her family and strives to provide an environment
that is conducive to trust, encouragement, and positive results.
Victoria (Guadagno) Tancsak, MA, LPC
Victoria is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of New Jersey. She graduated from Georgian Court University with Masters of Arts Degree in Mental Health Counseling. She is licensed by the Board of Marriage and Family Therapy in NJ. Through internships, education and work experience, Victoria has over six years clinical mental health experience. Victoria had done her undergraduate internship in 2008 along side Dr. Zaidi and has been a counselor with Freehold Child Diagnostic Center since 2013. She specializes in crisis management, group dynamics, depressive disorders and family therapy. Victoria has experience with various populations including disabled children and high-needs clients.
Victoria is known for a warm, relaxed and down-to-earth approach to counseling. She is committed to providing an atmosphere for clients to safely explore feelings, thoughts and behaviors in a non-judgmental and compassionate environment. She uses an integrative approach to therapy, which means working and collaborating with clients to provide the best therapeutic solution for change and improvement. She is influenced by solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness traditions. Victoria enjoys working with all ages of children, adolescents and their families as well as couples.
Jessica Goncalves, LPC

is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of NJ. She graduated with
a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University and an MA in Clinical Mental Health
Counseling from Georgian Court University. Jessica uses an integrative
approach in therapy, often combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client
Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Most recently added to her resume, is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)! Jessica has had
extensive experience in the mental health field working in a community
counseling agency, a day treatment program for the chronically mentally ill,
and also as a mental health counselor at a high school. Jessica enjoys
working with diverse populations which include children, adolescents, adults,
couples and families in individual and group settings. Jessica is
committed to building a therapeutic rapport with her clients and assisting them
in exploring their feelings and reaching their goals.
John Inauen, LPC
John is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. He graduated with both a BA in Psychology and an MA in Psychological counseling from Monmouth University. John has worked in a large variety of treatment settings, including Intensive in Community (IIC) as well as the Partial Care and Intensive Outpatient levels of care. John also has advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). John is highly skilled at treating individuals who self injure, as well as treating depression as well as anxiety disorders.
John is best known for his down to earth and approachable style. John focuses on the client-therapist relationship to build willingness with clients using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapies.
Tinamarie Veniscofski, MS, LCADC
Tina has a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, and is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Addiction is a disease and wreaks complete havoc on your
life, family, and friends. Once you find yourself powerless in the cycle of addiction, it
is time to seek professional help. For the past 24 years, Tina has dedicated herself to helping people
just like you to get out of the grips of addiction and all that goes with it. She believes that addiction does not discriminate and it can happen to anyone. No matter what
has happened to you, she can get your life back on track rebuilding trust from
within. She can then link this trust to your connections and relationships
restoring your life dreams and hopes.
In her professional experience, addiction counseling and life
coaching play a major role in repairing co-occurring (mental health and
addiction) wellness. she is dedicated to helping you recognize your strengths and
use these positive qualities to build your self-esteem, coping skills, and
overall life balance. She is devoted to providing
you a safe environment that is strictly confidential in order to discuss your
most secretive memories, thoughts, feelings, and experiences. You no longer have to deal with the struggle

Nicole Mercado- Administrative Assistant
Nicole has been working for Freehold Child Diagnostic Center, Inc. since May 2011. She exudes the incredible skill of multitasking in a high volume environment from start to finish each day with ease. She has the ability to help hundreds of patients each day with the sensitivity, compassion and caring demeanor that our patients deserve. Her motivation to assist patients and better the practice goes unmatched. She is dedicated to assisting patients with anything they need in a timely and professional manner. Nicole's overall approach to patient care is demonstrated through her loyalty and commitment to the company. From making appointments to providing refills and answering complex questions about medications, Nicole is here to listen and address your concerns.
